Custom Factory Grey Bathroom Mirror Cabinet

The cabinet integrates a sealed enclosure with a frameless or framed mirror to provide storage and reflective surface in environments subject to humidity and cleaning agents.

Core Construction

The enclosure is built from 0.8 mm galvanized steel sheet, formed with a 12 mm return flange for edge rigidity. All seams are continuously welded and ground smooth to prevent crevice corrosion.

A two‑stage pretreatment (alkaline degreasing followed by zirconium conversion coating) precedes a 60 µm electrostatic powder‑coat in RAL 7042 (traffic grey), delivering a salt‑spray resistance of ≥500 hours per ASTM B117.

Dimensional Flexibility

Dimension Adjustable Range Increment
Width 300 mm – 1500 mm 25 mm
Height 400 mm – 1000 mm 25 mm
Depth (including door) 120 mm – 250 mm 10 mm
Mirror thickness 4 mm – 6 mm (float glass) Optional safety backing

Material & Finish Options

  • Frame alloys: extruded aluminium 6063‑T5 (anodized 15 µm) or stainless steel 304 (2B finish)
  • Panel core: moisture‑resistant MDF (density 700 kg/m³) with melamine facing, or compact HPL (0.8 mm) for chemical resistance
  • Interior shelving: adjustable 12 mm thick tempered glass shelves with polymer brackets (load rating 15 kg per shelf)
  • Door hinges: concealed soft‑close hinges, 30 000 cycle endurance, rated for 20 kg door weight
  • Optional integrated LED strip: IP44, 3000 K, 12 W/m, dimmable via 0‑10 V driver

Mirror & Lighting Specifications

The mirror substrate is low‑iron float glass with a silver reflective layer (≥92 % reflectance) and a protective copper‑free paint backing. Anti‑fog coating (hydrophilic SiO₂ layer) reduces condensation visibility by ≥70 % at 40 °C, 80 % RH.

When LED lighting is specified, the diffuser is polycarbonate with UV stabilizer, providing a uniform luminance of ≥150 cd/m² across the mirror surface. Power consumption is limited to 12 W per linear metre, meeting IEC 60598‑2‑1 safety standards for luminaires in bathrooms.

Typical Installations in Industrial Facilities

These cabinets are specified for staff hygiene areas in pharmaceutical cleanrooms, food‑processing plants, and chemical laboratories where resistance to frequent wash‑downs and mild corrosive splashes is required.

The grey finish reduces visual glare under high‑intensity lighting, while the seamless interior prevents particle accumulation, supporting ISO 14644‑1 Class 7 cleaning protocols.

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Dimensional inspection: CMM verification of width, height, and squareness within ±0.5 mm
  • Coating adhesion: cross‑hatch test per ASTM D3359, minimum 4B rating
  • Corrosion exposure: cyclic salt spray (5 hours wet / 1 hour dry) for 20 cycles, no red rust >0.1 mm²
  • Load testing: door swing 50 000 cycles with 15 kg load, hinge wear <0.1 mm
  • Electrical safety: hi‑pot test at 1500 V DC for LED options, leakage current <0.5 mA

Packaging & Logistics

  • Primary protection: corrugated double‑wall carton with internal PE foam corners (density 25 kg/m³)
  • Secondary stabilization: horizontal straps and corner protectors to limit shift <10 mm during transit
  • Marking: each package includes QR code linking to product drawing, material safety data sheet, and installation guide
  • Container utilization: standard 20 ft palletized load accommodates up to 30 units (based on 800 mm × 600 mm × 200 mm average pack)
